CHEMICAL INJECTIONS 1. Prepare surface of cracks and/or fissures by drilling at opposite right angles to the leaking area. Holes shall be 5/8 inch in diameter and a minimum of half the distance of the thickness of the wall. 2. Flush injection ports with water to remove any deleterious material, which would obstruct the injected polyurethane. 3. Spacing of injection ports or plugs shall be determined by the size of crack/fissure and shall be installed on vertical surfaces from the bottom to the top. 4. Inject the material at high-pressure until the polyurethane material begins to reach the next port or injection nipple. 5. Repeat the process until all nipples have been injected or until fissure is observably filled with the polyurethane material. 6. Return the next day and remove injection nipples and fill in ports with a cementitious material. Remove any excess material from fissure and patch, as required. |
