CHEMICAL WATER REPELLENT/CONCRETE SEALER 1. Apply material chosen to test area. 2. Where surface areas show fissures or cracks, the substrate shall be suitably prepared in accordance with on-site conditions and manufacturer specifications and covered under Scope of Work separately. 3. Repair cracks and/or fissures by tuck-pointing, grouting, patching or caulking (dependent on manufacturer guidelines for material chosen) as site conditions or product methods warrant. 4. Apply the water repellent material, using a low-pressure spray. Horizontal surfaces shall be gauged by ponding the material until it takes a minimum of 5 seconds to be absorbed. On vertical surfaces, the material shall also be applied similarly and be allowed to run down the surface 6 to 8 inches below the spray pattern. |
