CLADDING (METAL)


1. Prepare surface to be cladded by ensuring there will be no structural defects in the substrate to which the cladding will be mounted. An engineers report shall be submitted by the Owner for permits and confirmation of the approved installation by a competent Engineer.

2. Based upon the cladding chosen and height of the structure et al, have pull-tests carried out by the Anchor Manufacturer's Engineer or if not available, a Structural Engineer to determine the size and type of anchors required.

3. Install air-barrier over entire surface of area to be cladded (using PERM-A-BARRIER by W.R. Grace or equivalent such as blue skin etc.) per Manufacturer's instructions.

4. Install hat or Z girts (or other fastening systen per engineered drawings), spaced at intervals pre-determined by a competent Structural Engineer. Spacing of anchors shall be as per drawings provided or per Engineers report for same.

5. Install semi-rigid insulation or styrofoam (as determined under Scope of Work) as per Owner's requirements for upgrading insulating properties of wall.

6. Affix steel cladding to girt supports and fasten as required per Engineers report and/or drawings.

7. Enclose system with appropriate corner moulds and sill plates and caulk seams as required with Tremco Dymeric.

8. If required, a new cap flashing shall be installed at the top of the elevation and all windows and protrusions shall be deemed to be inclusive in this quotation.
