CLADDING (STUCCO)


1. Prepare all masonry surfaces to accept wire mesh application. Any loose masonry shall be removed and large voids filled with latex modified patching compound.

2. Where requested, standard building paper shall be applied to entire surface area.

3. Affix galvanized wire mesh at no less than 14" centres using masonry fasteners to ensure a solid foundation.

4. Apply a full base coat of latex modified cement and sand mixture to all surfaces to ensure total coverage of galvanized mesh.

5. Base coat should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 72 hours to ensure proper bonding.

6. Apply a second coat of Tamms concrete finisher to all surfaces to ensure a uniform finish coat in both texture and colour.

7. All corners shall be squared by affixing corner beads and plaster stops.

8. Expansion joints shall be installed where deemed necessary on-site. No greater than 10 feet linear distances will be free floated.

Note: Alternate stucco systems have Manufacturer specifications and where these products are being used, these shall take precedence over this specification.
