MEMBRANE (VULKEN SYSTEM 350/351)


1. The surface shall be cleaned of all contaminates, sharp ridges and any laitance by the means of sand-blasting or pressure washing the area.

2. Structural defects (if not covered under Scope of Work) shall be reported to the Owner or his Representative before any commencement of the work.

3. The enclosed detail literature on application of this membrane system shall be followed in full per the Manufacturer's directions.

4. All concrete surfaces to be coated shall be primed with Vulken 350 Base Coat to a 35 - 45 MIL thickness or 35 S.F. per gallon.

5. Apply Vulken 351 Traffic Coat at a rate of 15 MIL thickness or at a rate of 100 S.F. per gallon. If an aggregate load is desired for the finish coat, silica sand shall be added and mixed in with 351 top-coat application.

NOTE: Prior to application of Vulkem Waterproofing system, all cracks and moving joints shall be treated with a urethane sealant applied into these voids. Rout and seal costs may be applicable and will be noted under the Scope of Work or Bid Section, if required.
