PAINTING (METAL) 1. All exposed metal shall be wire-brushed and/or sanded where such has exhibited rusting. All loose or flaking paint will be removed by scraping until a solid substrate has been achieved. 2. The exposed metal will then be primed with a premium grade rust-inhibitive paint or zinc-rich paint. 3. Where rusting has deteriorated the metal through, report condition to the owner for his direction for handling. 4. Apply primer coat, after applying solvent wipe to remove foreign materials, to achieve a uniform coating and surface. 5. Apply one finish coat of enamel to all metal surfaces (unless covered under the Scope of Work as a two coat finish system). Colour and brand name to be chosen by owner. Additional coatings (unless stated in Scope of Work) are subject to additional costs. |
