SHELF ANGLE REPAIR 1. Cut out, using masonry saws, two brick courses above the shelf angle at third points of the panel. No more than three linear feet of masonry shall be removed without structural support. 2. Inspect and replace, if necessary, the damp-proofing to ensure against water migration. 3. Cut out adjoining masonry and supply structural support only after points have been repaired, augmented, coated and the masonry replaced. 4. Inspect the angle and if necessary, supply additional anchorage to supplement original fastenings and commence with angle repair to adjoining area, as above. 5. The horizontal mortar joint at the toe of angle shall be caulked using Tremco Dymonic/Dymeric caulking material, leaving a weepage passage at intervals of 24 inches. 6. It shall be deemed on-site with the Owner or Owner's Representative if the immediate courses of masonry below the angle require realignment/replacement due to past movement. 7. All masonry units shall be approved by the Owner or Owner's Representative before commencement of any work. |
