CAULKING (NEEDLE BEADING AND/OR GLAZING)


1. Remove any loose or existing bituminous glazing at glass to metal or other locations where denoted in the Scope of Work. A standard wood chisel or other sharp instrument will be used to remove this material and the remaining residue cleaned with an approved solvent.

2. The surface will then be wiped clean of any film and a uniform bead of silicone (type to be recommended) applied to the joint and into the void.

3. If required, the glazing shall be tooled to ensure proper adhesion to both surfaces of the joint and the excess removed.

4. Specialty “dome bead” profiles are subject to additional costs if not denoted in Quotation request in writing. (This is due to additional materials cost and labour involved)
